I tried my best to vector what I think Nathan’s contact should look like. Tonight I’ll be emailing the vendor to request a quote. I hope it’ll be under $150, or else Nathan will be wearing a eye patch instead.

It turns out that it will cost $10 more than I anticipated. We will see how much room in my budget I’ll be able to flex. I am hoping that Nathan will be able to pitch in just a little bit. =)

Like the title says, I finished the transition from Windows Seven to Windows XP Pro. I would have liked to keep evaluating the new OS but it was hindering my ability to do the things I wanted, such as playing AOM, and using some software for work. I guess I’ll be like Simon and wait for it to be a fully finished product (even though the latest build might as well be RC1).

There are so many things that I would like to accomplish before Fanime. First of all, finishing my costume would be nice. Then I would be able to concentrate on Nathan’s costume so that he’d actually be presentable in our Cosplay group. Still waiting for him to get his eye exam so that I can get him his contact lens. This is assuming that I will have extra money of course.

It appears that the salon that I go to can do hair extensions for me. And by ‘do’, I mean they can dye it and everything. Also their quote beats Fifth Avenue Salon by $400 dollars. The lady that did my hair today was super friendly, she was able to give me ideas for my cosplay too.

I guess now the next planning part is figuring out the blazer. There is a high chance that I may be doing this myself instead of commisioning someone because I’d rather save the money and help Nathan with his costume.

Anyway, I am waiting for some quotes for parts of my costume. I am anxiously waiting for things to get started. So far a lot of my costume making is being outsourced. I hope everything goes to plan. I’ll be updating as soon as I get stuff for my Cosplay.

I barely paid for my registration tonight. Its becoming so real, being at fanime yet again. Time to make a list of what I want to get this year.

Also, I bought a Wii today for Brianne. This means $250 is gone, I hope she doesn’t just let it sit there like Simon’s console. I wanted to get a TV so that I can enjoy Zelda on widescreen, but I guess that can’t happen since I am getting ready for Fanime. -_-

Today I am wearing contacts for the first time and I have to admit that I regret not getting them sooner. Everything seems BIGGER, but thats because since my corrective lenses are right on my eye, instead of half an inch away. My glasses made everything appeared minimized.

Well, I am one step closer to completing one of the listed objective, getting my contacts. Now I just have to place an order now that I know my prescription. Right now, I am kind of deciding which one I should get. If I should get a solid yellow, or a yellow-ish lens.
