Verizon’s HTC Touch Pro

Posted in Konnichiwa on November 27th, 2008 by admin

Before I say anything I have say to all of you, HAPPPY THANKSGIVING!!!.

Alright, I don’t know how many of you are familiar with the G1 Android handset by HTC. If you haven’t seen or played with the phone, you are missing out (a little). This is particularly due to the device Android is on. Although I do admit that I would like to have this phone, one thing held me back, the QWERTY keyboard.

I don’t know if it was my fat thumbs or if the buttons were not that sensitive, but typing on it was a bit frustrating for me. My buddy let me play with the phone for about as long as it took him to eat his Bento box from Tokyo Teriyaki. The phone was pretty cool, and it picked up the network of Port of Subs next door without any problems. Still, I did not like the QWERTY keyboard on the unit.

Texting using my VX10000 is a breeze with its keyboard. I can type about 50 WPM using the testing page for Iphones. My concern is, I don’t want to be slowed due to the layout of keys. And the HTC Touch PRO seems to be like the phone that won’t do that.

Last night I have been doing size comparisons with my Voyager and the HTC Touch PRO. I’m a bit anxious to get it, and for sure I will be getting as soon as I cancel my aircard (which will cost about $125)

On my way to Sacramento . . .

Posted in Konnichiwa on November 25th, 2008 by admin

I’m accompanying Sirena to pick up Mary. It was requested by the Dad for me to come along.

Speeding
Now I know why I was asked to supervise her. I think I’ve told her twelve times to slow down.
Me: “Lets have Mary drive back down.”
Her: “No! She drives slow. . . “
Me: o_0

We anticipated on leaving at 6AM, we left at 11AM. I guess that benefited Brianne since she didn’t have to get dropped off four hours early at work. Still, this was likely since the Yang family is known for their lagginess.

For lunch we stopped at Pho #75, I paid for Sirena unknowingly. -_-
Chowfun
Thats was chowfun that Sirena ordered. It looked appetizing before she started adding all kinds of weird seasoning. After this we stopped at BINGO grocery store for some snacks. This store has some delicious deli that you can only get at Fresno. Only problem is coming at the right time. If you don’t you get nasty left overs.
Bingo

Since I have nothing else to do while on the way there, I thought I’d update my blog. I guess we’ll get there around 3PM if everything works out.

UPDATE::
Well…We arrived to Sacramento and Davis safely. Here is a picture of Ginseng…fifty dollars worth.
Ginseng
And the guy that cut it was weird. First off we never bought Ginseng before. Meaning we didn’t know what to expect. When the Dad said to buy him “Fifty dollar Ginseng” I didn’t know that it would be so little.

Then at UC Davis we picked up Mary. Then went out for boba tea that I did not enjoy at all. Mary sure did picked the super natural boba TEA.

TheOldTeahouse
After this we went with Mary’s Chirstian buddies to a ghey movie that I slightly fell asleep to, Madagascar 2. Right now it is about 10:38 and we are on our way back.

Pre-Thanksgiving…

Wow, I haven’t had pork for a very long time. The way they were cooking it looked kind of cool, but now that I’ve taken a picture I have different feelings. While writing this post and looking at the picture below has changed how I view animals. It is kind of disturbing actually.

Pork
LOL @ Pig

To be honest, today was probably the best feast I’ve been to this year. The whole entire family down . . . before thanksgiving. o_0 Also, well have another feast this coming Wednesday-Thursday.

Polaroid Pogo Cont…

Alright, I admit that this device is pretty neat. It was difficult to use it the first time for whatever reason. I don’t know why it wasn’t working though, then all of a sudden my phone detected the device and printed the picture I sent in less than a minute. However I still am going to return it for my money back. I asked two employees working there, they both said 30-days with no restocking fee.

Something I noticed when I looked at the receipt was that Wal*Mart had rung me up for the wrong item. This printer costs $99.84 but I paid $86.37 for it (including tax). Apparently I bought a Selphy CP740. I hope that when I go return this item they don’t give me any trouble.

Mistag

I assure you, I did not put that sticker there. I’m sure that an employee put it there by accident since they happened to be located next to each other. Its funny though, I was wondering why it was so cheap even though the tag on the shelf listed the price as “$99.84″. I was going to ask, but I figured it went down in price. Oh well.
