Verizon’s HTC Touch Pro
Posted in Konnichiwa on November 27th, 2008 by adminBefore I say anything I have say to all of you, HAPPPY THANKSGIVING!!!.
Alright, I don’t know how many of you are familiar with the G1 Android handset by HTC. If you haven’t seen or played with the phone, you are missing out (a little). This is particularly due to the device Android is on. Although I do admit that I would like to have this phone, one thing held me back, the QWERTY keyboard.
I don’t know if it was my fat thumbs or if the buttons were not that sensitive, but typing on it was a bit frustrating for me. My buddy let me play with the phone for about as long as it took him to eat his Bento box from Tokyo Teriyaki. The phone was pretty cool, and it picked up the network of Port of Subs next door without any problems. Still, I did not like the QWERTY keyboard on the unit.
Texting using my VX10000 is a breeze with its keyboard. I can type about 50 WPM using the testing page for Iphones. My concern is, I don’t want to be slowed due to the layout of keys. And the HTC Touch PRO seems to be like the phone that won’t do that.
Last night I have been doing size comparisons with my Voyager and the HTC Touch PRO. I’m a bit anxious to get it, and for sure I will be getting as soon as I cancel my aircard (which will cost about $125)
